My Love of Spiders is Limited

Although I love nature, I don’t really love spiders. Why do we love some animals and not others? Why do we love at all? On my morning runs I travel through some beautiful bushy, scrubland areas and if I’m the first person through it can be a tricky thing avoiding the fresh spiders’ webs that have been built overnight. More often than not I run straight into them and spend the next few steps jumping up and down like a mad person trying to get the sticky web off my skin and hair and panicking as to whether or not I am carrying the spider with me. As much as I love running, I’ve decided that I’ll have to be extra careful not to breathe with my mouth open as I go through these areas, as it sends shivers down my spine just thinking about what would happen if I inhaled a spider, let alone its web and contents. We do throw the word love around alot. I love running, I don’t love spiders, I love you. What is love anyway?
